PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Vaughan Vikings High Performance Program (HPP) is a structured development program designed to help players improve all aspects of their game. It combines skill work, strength and movement training, and performance-based teaching into one complete system.
Players are guided through a progressive plan that focuses on building better movement, increasing strength and power, improving swing performance, and learning how to apply these skills in game situations. Throughout the program, athletes are evaluated and tracked so they can see their progress and better understand their development.
The goal of the HPP is simple: to provide players with a clear, organized path to improvement in an environment that is consistent, challenging, and focused on long-term growth.
Why the Vaughan Vikings HPP Matters

Why the Vaughan Vikings HPP Matters
In today’s baseball world, players are often pulled in different directions—hitting lessons, strength sessions, showcases, and games—without a clear structure tying it all together. The result is fragmented development.
The Vaughan Vikings High Performance Program was built to change that.
This is a complete player development system designed to bring everything into one environment: movement, strength, rotational power, swing efficiency, and game performance. Instead of treating development as separate pieces, the HPP connects them
into a structured progression where each phase builds on the last.
Players are guided through a process that starts with evaluation and foundation, then advances through movement efficiency, strength development, power production, skill integration, and game application. Along the way, they learn not just what to do, but why it matters—and how to make adjustments when it counts.
What separates the HPP is that progress is measurable and understood. Players track improvements in strength, rotational power, exit velocity, consistency, and overall performance. More importantly, they learn how those metrics connect to their swing, their body, and their results in games.
This program is not about quick fixes or short-term gains. It is about building complete athletes who can move better, hit with more authority, compete with confidence, and sustain their performance over time.
Because real development is not random—it is built through structure, accountability, and a system that works.
What Makes HPP Different
Structured Progression
-
This is not random training. Each week builds on the last, creating a true long-term development path.
Measurable Improvement
-
Players are tracked through exit velocity, strength testing, rotational power work, and consistency measures that provide real feedback.
Individual Coaching
-
Players are not thrown into a generic model. Adjustments and feedback are made with the athlete in mind.
Game Transfer
-
The goal is not to win the cage. The goal is to help players perform in games, under pressure, with confidence.

Marco Cunha
Firstbase/LHP

TEAM: Vaughan Vikings 15u HPP
PERORMANCE METRICS
AVERAGE EXIT VELOCITY: 76 MPH
MAX EV VELOCITY: 91.6 MPH
MV-AVG: +9
DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS
WEEK 1 AVG EV: 64 MPH
WEEK 20 AVG EV: 76 MPH
AVERAGE EXIT VELOCITY: 76 MPH
Marco has made significant progress throughout the program, improving both his power output and consistency. His ability to close the gap between average and max exit velocity shows a swing that is becoming more repeatable and effiicient.
Continued focus will be on pitch recognition and adjusting to off-speed, but the foundation is strong.
