As part of the founding coaching staff, I played a role in:

• Helping establish team culture, expectations, and on-field identity

• Supporting year-round training and athlete development

• Assisting student-athletes in balancing academic success with competitive play

• Implementing position-specific instruction, including hitting and infield fundamentals

• Scouting and talent evaluation during open tryouts and league competition

• Creating individualized development plans to support both short-term improvement and long-term goals

The experience was a unique and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a growing program and mentor student-athletes in a formative chapter of their baseball careers.

 

Sheridan College’s entrance into OCAA baseball brought with it an exciting challenge, the chance to build something from the ground up. Each season brought progress, whether it was through stronger performances on the field, better practice structure, or increased visibility of the program among prospective student-athletes.

Off the field, I worked closely with players to ensure academic accountability, encouraging a mindset of excellence in the classroom equal to that on the diamond. Witnessing athletes rise to meet those standards while growing in confidence, leadership and teamwork was one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role.

Sheridan Baseball continues to trend upward, and I’m proud to have played a foundational role in its development. The Bruins are building a culture rooted in integrity and effort and I look forward to seeing the program thrive in years to come.
