THIS ISN’T JUST BASEBALL
THIS IS A STANDARD

Based in the Greater Toronto Area, I have dedicated my career to training athletes since 1998, driven by a profound passion for promoting an active and healthy lifestyle while honing proper athletic techniques. My commitment extends beyond personal fitness; I am equally zealous about enhancing my clients' gaming prowess. Renowned for being tough yet understanding,

I provide tailored guidance to each player, fostering an environment where they can surpass their potential. Recognizing the significance of top-notch training, I invest substantial time in continuous education.

This commitment has led me to collaborate with high-caliber athletes at the National, International and Professional levels. My formative years playing under legendary Canadian coaches, such as Rick Johnson, Remo Cardinale, Jack Middlemass, Gary Wilson, Denny Berni, Steve Breitner, and esteemed NCAA Top Coaches like John Cohen, Mitch Gaspard, and Matt Deggs, not only imparted baseball skills but life skills as well.

COACH Q BASEBALL            DAVID QUATTROCIOCCHI

WHO AM I

Player. Coach. Teacher. Builder.

I am David Quattro, known to most people in baseball as Coach Q. Baseball has taken me across North America as a player, coach, instructor, speaker, and author. No matter the role, my focus has always stayed the same: develop real players, not just talent.

Over the years I have worked with athletes from the youth level all the way to college and professional baseball. I have built programs, taught thousands of lessons, and helped players learn that development is not just about mechanics. It is about standards, consistency, accountability, and learning how to compete when the game gets hard.

My story is not built on one title or one season. It is built on years inside the game. From my own playing career, to coaching Team Ontario, to building high performance environments in Canada, everything I do comes from experience. I have lived the process as a player and then spent years teaching it as a coach.

Players do not need more hype. They need honest development, a real standard, and someone who knows what the game actually demands.

That is what Coach Q Baseball is about. Helping players grow with structure, truth, and a clear path forward.

CAREER TIMLINE

KEY STOPS IN MY BASEBALL LIFE

1990s

ONTARIO ROOTS

I grew up in the Ontario baseball system and learned early what it meant to compete, earn opportunities, and carry yourself the right way around the game.

1998-1999

TEXAS JUNIOR COLLEGE BASEBALL

My path led me to junior college baseball in Texas, where the daily grind of college baseball started to show me what real commitment looked like. The game gets serious fast when baseball becomes part of your identity every single day.

2000-2001

NCAA DIVISION I AT NORTHWESTERN STATE

I went on to play at Northwestern State University in Louisiana, where I was part of conference championship teams and hit .401 in 2001. Those years taught me that high-level baseball is not just about ability. It is about making adjustments, understanding your role, and competing with maturity.

2000s+

FROM PLAYER TO TEACHER
As my career shifted toward coaching, I carried my playing experience into instruction. I focused on mechanics, approach, mindset, and helping players understand the game on a deeper level.

2018-2022

FROM PLAYER TO TEACHER
As my career shifted toward coaching, I carried my playing experience into instruction. I focused on mechanics, approach, mindset, and helping players understand the game on a deeper level.

2018-2022

HEAD COACH, ONTARIO YOUTH TEAM
Leading Team Ontario was one of the defining chapters of my coaching career. During that run, our teams won Canada Cup Gold in 2018, Canada Cup Silver in 2019, and Canada Summer Games Gold in 2022. More important than the medals was the standard we built and protected.

TODAY

COACH Q BASEBALL & HIGH PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT
Today I continue to work with players through Coach Q Baseball and the Vaughan Vikings High Performance Program. My mission is still the same: help athletes develop the right way and prepare them for the next level of the game.

WHAT I BELIEVE

Development Has To Be Real

There is a difference between training and development. Training can be reps. Development is a process. It has testing, accountability, adjustment, and a clear purpose behind the work.

That philosophy has shaped the way I teach hitting, player development, and program building. I believe athletes improve faster when you challenge them honestly, teach them how to self-evaluate, and create an environment where standards matter every day.

I also believe parents and players deserve transparency. They should know what is being taught, why it matters, and what progress looks like. That is why I have always valued structure, communication, and measurable improvement.
