The 2024/2025 Vaughan Vikings High Performance Program (HPP) Hitting Phase officially wrapped after 20 intensive weeks of development, data tracking and evaluation across the 12U to 15U age groups. Designed to build stronger, more consistent hitters, the program focused on measurable gains in average and max exit velocity, swing repeatability and athletic strength.
Across all age groups, players demonstrated significant improvements, with 100% of athletes showing development in at least one key area, whether it was raw power, consistency at contact or swing efficiency.
📈 Program-Wide Statistical Summary
Average Exit Velocity (EV) Increases:
12U: +9.2 mph
13U: +9.9 mph
14U: +10.2 mph
15U: +13.8 mph
Each group also showed a marked reduction in their MV-AVG (Max EV – Avg EV) gaps, an indicator of improved swing consistency and repeatability.
📊 Player Exit Velocity Progression
To better understand the gains, here's a visual breakdown of how selected athletes across all age groups improved their exit velocity from Week 1 to Week 20: The players in this chart represent some of the most notable progressions in the program, with EV gains ranging from +14 to +42 mph.

⚾ Age Group Highlights
12U:
Nico: +18.92 mph EV gain and -12.92 MV-AVG improvement
Mason: Max EV of 69 mph
Adrian P.: +14.68 mph EV gain and 14.68-point swing tightening
13U:
Gabriel: +31.12 mph EV gain
Oliver: Max EV of 73 mph
14U:
Austin: Max EV of 87 mph, MV-AVG down by 15.2
Frank: +32.12 mph EV gain, swing consistency dramatically improved
Marco and Justin: 81 mph max EV
15U:
Luke: Led all age groups with +42.56 mph EV gain
Ben: Tied for program-high 87 mph EV
Marciano: +25.00 mph gain and MV-AVG tightened by 15.0
Brady: +20.52 mph gain with improved swing repeatability
🧠 Why MV-AVG Matters
MV-AVG (Max Exit Velocity – Average Exit Velocity) measures how consistently a hitter performs near their top-end potential. The lower the number, the more repeatable their swing. Players who made the biggest MV-AVG gains often saw corresponding improvements in posture, timing, load mechanics and barrel control.
