ree

The Vaughan Vikings 13U team put together a championship-caliber performance at the July 2025 Vaughan Tournament, finishing with a 4-1 record and bringing home the title. What made this run truly special was the offensive firepower displayed throughout the weekend.

From top to bottom, the lineup delivered timely hits, drew key walks and put constant pressure on opposing defenses. The Vikings combined clutch hitting with situational awareness and discipline at the plate, resulting in an offensive showcase across five games.

Offensive Standouts

Ollie was a nightmare for opposing pitchers, posting a scorching .643 batting average and matching a team-best .722 OBP. His 1.365 OPS shows just how dangerous he was every time he stepped in the box. Brody had a monster tournament, hitting .556 with a 1.492 OPS, the highest on the team and was a key sparkplug in the middle of the order. Darius continued to be a consistent force, hitting .500 with a .722 OBP and 1.222 OPS, getting on base and producing runs with both power and patience. Nico and Stephen also hit .500, helping set the tone early in games with solid approaches and consistent contact. Jacob delivered a strong .462 average and 1.101 OPS, while Luca contributed timely hits and got on base at a .444 clip, finishing the tournament with a .375 average.

Balanced Contributions Across the Lineup

While the top of the lineup lit up the stat sheet, the depth of the Vikings' roster played a crucial role in their championship win. Players throughout the order chipped in with key at-bats, heads-up base-running and steady defense, keeping the team energized and competitive. Whether through drawing walks, executing productive outs or working long at-bats that helped wear down pitchers and extend innings. Every member of the roster embraced their role and that collective effort fueled a championship finish.

The Vikings outscored their opponents 53-25 over five games, showing the ability to win both tight contests and blowouts. After a tough 12-11 loss on Saturday, the team responded with three straight wins on Championship Sunday, including a dominant 17-0 semifinal victory and a commanding 12-2 win in the final.
