Vaughan Baseball Hitting Camp Wrap-Up: 20 Weeks of Growth, Grit & Game-Changing Development

We’ve officially wrapped up four incredible 5-week hitting camp sessions with Vaughan Baseball and what a journey it’s been! Over the course of 20 weeks, we welcomed more than 30 dedicated athletes, all working to refine their skills, sharpen their swings and elevate their game.

From the first tee-up to the final rep, every athlete brought energy and a willingness to learn. Their effort was the engine behind every improvement and their commitment is what made this season such a success.

Highlights from the Final Session

Last night’s training session captured the very essence of what player development is all about. I had the unique opportunity to work side by side with Michael Cecchetto, a semi-pro player and Delfina, a talented 10-year-old athlete with a ton of heart and potential. Two players at completely different stages of their baseball journeys, yet both completely dialed in and eager to get better. That’s the beauty of this game, it brings people together across ages, backgrounds and experience levels to chase growth and excellence. It was a powerful reminder that when we invest in developing all players, we build a stronger, more connected future for baseball.

Exit Velocity Shout-Out

Huge congratulations to Jacob R, who absolutely crushed it on the last night of camp, hitting a 91 mph exit velocity! That’s no small feat.

I’ve known Jacob since he was 12 years old and to see his maturity and dedication take center stage this offseason has been special. He’s grown not just as a hitter, but as a complete ballplayer. His hard work is paying off and his future is looking bright. Keep grinding, Jacob!
