Player Spotlight - RHP Trevor Brigden

Not to often do we, as coaches, comes across a player who has the mental makeup that is necessary for playing at the next level. Many times we have players that have all the skills, but lack the mental side. Trevor Brigden is the epitome of gamer. The RHP is the type of player who wants the ball in the biggest situation.

Out of high school, Brigden found an opportunity at Lackawanna Junior College, where he threw a seven inning complete-game no-hitter, striking out fifteen while allowing only three hitters to reach base, two by base on balls and one on an error. After Junior College, Trevor found a spot on the Okanagan College Coyotes. In 2018, Brigden was the Coyotes Closing Pitcher and was dominant all year. He threw 17.2 innings in relief, had 4 wins as a closer, struck out 30 batters and finished with an impressive 0.50 ERA. In 2018, Brigden won CCBC Pitcher of the Year. He was also named "2nd Team" All West Coast League, for the Kelowna Falcons. In 2019, he will look to continue his dominance in as he has sported a 91mph fastball during winter training.
