West Toronto Baseball Enjoys Spring Training

Its that time of year where Canadian ball players head to Florida for some spring training baseball. The "Grapefruit League" has been around for over 100 years and it's been a tradition for about 10 years that local teams from the Greater Toronto area have been going south. Most teams have been training indoors since October and get show off, how their game has improved to the local College/Universities and professional scouts who flock to the area.

The experience that these players receive is just like the big leagues. Early morning workouts, long bus rides, late games and a little fun in between. West Toronto baseball joined up with the Etobicoke Rangers for the 22 hour bus ride to Fort Pierce Florida. They had a busy schedule playing 4 games with five practices in 6 days.

- Game 1 West Toronto vs. Ontario Nationals

- game 2 West Toronto verse Rivers High School

- game 3 West Toronto vs Cheshire Academy

- game 4 West Toronto vs West Orange High School

Special thanks to Denny Berni and the Etobicoke Rangers staff for an amazing trip. For more information visit www.proteach.net and www.floridacoastspringtraining.com for all your spring training needs.
