The 4th Annual Blue Jays Baseball Academy National Coaches Clinic

The 4th Annual Blue Jays Baseball Academy National Coaches Clinic was a huge success. The January 8-10 event featured 500 coaches from all over North America who participated in Canada's biggest coaches clinic. The event featured NCCP clinics, coaches social, lecturers from present and former Blue Jay greats, aswell as, other baseball historians. As the coaches entered field level i could overhear conversations about the turf and how beautiful the Rogers Centre is. The Rogers Centre has changed a lot since I played on it 17 years ago. I was so nervous with the size of the stadium. Field level, looked a lot bigger back then. The turf is different and looking up at the level of excellence and seeing names Roberto Alomar, Joe Carter, Paul Beeston and the late Tom cheek. 24 years of memories were runnimg through my head, I could hear Tom Cheek's voice "Touch em all Joe, will never had a bigger home run in your life!" We were then escorted to the 300 level and were placed in a boardroom that I'm sure Alex Anthopoulos had some interesting conversations. My "Hitting Clinic" had coaches from Bermuda, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Ontario. It's always great to see coaches from all over North America sharing their knowledge of the game. It was truly a wonderful experience.
